Does the florist normally do this...?

I want to have votive candles on my tables around the centerpieces...does the florist set them up for you after putting the centerpiece on each table??

And also I should buy the votives right?? I am sure they do not supply small votive candles and holders....

Oh and one more question- do most florist charge you a fee for using vases for flowers? Is it just better to buy cheaper vases from AC moore or Michaels than use the ones the florist owns??

TIA

Trying to make appts to visit florists. But I want to make sure I tell them what I have and what I need. Thanks!!

some places will charge you to set up outside stuff, Flowers by Brian wanted to charge me for that. Flowers Michele did not charge me. Also, they told me that their votives are about 2.50 each -- you can definitely get them cheaper if you buy them yourself.

Flower MIchele sets up for you (card table and your centerpiece tables), any other arragement that deals with flowers that you get from them they setup also. I have purchased votives MUCH cheaper during sales with coupons at craft stores and will be handing it to them two weeks before the wedding.

Your RH may be able to set up the votive for you. Some florists charge full price for vases if you want to allow your guests to take them home. Sometimes they charge a fee for rental, but if a guest takes it home, you get charged so make sure your RH knows to have wait staff tell guests. Sometimes, they just let you use it and don't charge to rent. Definitely try and ngotiate with them on rental fees if they try and charge you.

We were gonig with high and low CPs, but may go with all high b/c I'm affraid guests may try and take a low CP home. (they were silver bowls) I doubt anyone will try and take a silver candleabra home.

I know- Aaron has told me stories about people holding things under their dresses under the table They try t take silverware, plates and all home too...LOL

But I will have the waiters tell people they can take the flowers or the little bowl that sits on the candleabra.

check with your RH if they supply votives. When I mentioned about the florist suggesting votives, the BM said the RH puts them out on the tables themselves. but the florist would do it if I wanted it.

As to the vases, the florist I am using wants the tall ones back - - the floral piece is removable for guests to take. And on the low ones, which are round glass cyinders, they are provided and can be taken but I can't give you a price on those - - I have one grand total from them.
