So I have a registry question. Is the registry included in the invites? If not how do ppl know where u registered? I'm mostly registering for the shower but would want to include it in some of the wedding invites as well... The registry thing is not popular at all in our culture, ppl just bring money that’s Y it's the first time I have to deal with this and have no clue... Do I register and give the website to the girls who r throwing the shower and they include it in the shower invite???? Also if I register at a few places do I include all of them... You can see where this is going so any advice would very appreciated...

I sent out registry info with my shower invites only. I don't think it's customary to send it out with wedding invites.

I had the same problem. I included the registry information on my shower invites and on our wedding website. Thats about it though. Wedding 'etiquitte' says you can not include them in the actual wedding invitation but that you should spread the info through word of mouth.

In the etiquite books it says this may be perceived as rude to do. It recomends that you set up a website and insert the website into the invites for the shower and wedding. Then on the website you put the link to the registry.
Personally you can do whatever you want. You don't have to follow books are anything. Do it however you feel most comfortable.
In this instance, I will probably follow the etiquite books I bought.

Yeah, I agree. And then for the wedding, they'll know where you're registered from when they got the shower invite.

im putting it in with the shower invites..if thats rude tough cause we have some family who cant even turn on a computer s setting up a website is a bad idea

Ha ha ha! I do too! my groandmother and FH, etc! I was just going by the book!
I just received an invite to a shower and it listed the registry location info on there.

I'm putting mine in shower only...although I REALLY want to say my sister put them in her main invites as well, and the only reason I think so is because I remember thinking it was strange. For me, personally, I'd rather not remind people of tangible gifts....

Yup that’s what I thought to just include them in the shower and word to mouth on the rest. I think I also saw shower invites with the registry included but never a wedding invite with one that’s Y I was wondering how ppl know that a registry exists... ????? So what if u register to a few places do u include all of them?
