Does this Hair / Makeup quote sound right? edit

I just got a quote from a girl I know from school who does hair and make up. Does this sound right or is it a bit high? I am waiting for her to get back to me on how she got this number.

1 trial for me (hair and makeup)

est. $1190

She also said that at the time of the trial I have to give her 30% down. And if I decide not to use her I only get half of that down payment back.

Can you please FM me your Hair and Makeup artists and how much you will be paying? TIA.

ETA: She just told me that if a single person came in for hair it would be approx. $55 and up and for makeup it would be $90. But with a wedding party she factors in prep time and travel time. I am going to continue to explore my options. Thank you for your input ladies.

It sounds pretty steep to me but in not a new yorker so I dont know how prices work there...but if i were you i would keep searching

so you figure its like 100 for makeup and 100 for hair... thats not too bad... ive seen alot worse on here... i still wouldnt pay those prices though but thats me

I just did the math on about how much it would cost for that if the person I'm using did all that - it came out to $1035, so it's a little more $ but not too bad.
