Does this invitation wording sound ok?
I'm having such a hard time wording my invitations! I had no idea there was so many options to 'mix and match' words LOL Please let me know what you think of this and ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! TIATogether with their parents
name and name
request the honor of your presence to share in the celebration of their marriage
day/date/year/time
place/address
reception to follow
p.s. My wedding is in Saint James. Should I put 'Saint' or 'St.'?
THANKS GUYS!!
Also, are 2 envelopes necessary? What's the purpose? Just to state the names twice?

It sounds good! The outer envelope can get beat up in the mail. The purpose of the inner envelope is twofold: 1. to keep the invitation from getting damaged and 2. to list each individual invited to the wedding. Technically, you are not supposed to list '& guest' or '& family' on the outer envelope. It is entirely up to you to use an inner envelope.

I like everything spelled out so my suggestion is Saint.
You can also add: Cocktail Hour and Reception to follow

Just make sure about honor. Its traditionally ONLY ued if getting married at a house of worship. You can do anything you want :) But Honor is only supposed to be used when getting married in a house of worship.

I would write out Saint. As for the innner/outer envelope, I debated this for a while. In the end we went with only one outer envelope because we are only inviting guests with dates who are married, engaged, living together so we had all the guests names and addressed the outer envelopes accordingly. We also had our invites hand cancelled at the post office to cut down on wear and tear. If you are inviting all your single guests with dates and all the kids in the fmily, I would suggest inner and outer envelopes so you don't have 'and guest' and 'and family' on the outer one.

Wording is lovely. (I'm doing mine with very similar wording!)If you are planning to spell out the date and specifics ('Thursday, the Fourth of July two thousand thirteen at six o'clock in the evening'), I would definitely spell it 'Saint James.'
If you are writing it 'Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 6:00 PM,' you can do 'Saint' or 'St.'

Wording looks great. If it's in a house of worship, I was told it's proper to use 'honour.' If not in a house of worship, it's however you wish.
I actually prefer 'Saint James,' but I ended up using 'St. James' because that's how it's listed on Flowerfield's website and also when I typed the town into Google.
