Well I am sure most of you know about my childhood best friend. I told her and she said...

WHAT DO you want me to say.... I was so sad..

Then I have another girlfriend whom I adore but I haven't seen in awhile and she is so snippy to me since this all happened.

What the heck is wrong with them?

Everyone else.. Strangers are so happy for us and people who are close to me are acting like jerks!

Hasn't really happened to me. All I can say is:

JEALOUSY! (sp?)

They'll get over it! I wouldn't worry too much about them.

You have every right to be. But enjoy this time! It's all about you! Enjoy this time with the people who ARE happy for you.

Those two will get the hint!

Sometimes people act like jerks. Its just jealousy.Its a shame though because they should be happy for you. Don't let them ruin your happiness. Enjoy this time.

That is very sad that people you shared your life with can't be happy with you.. I was lucky all my friends were so excited, there was even champagne waiting at my FIL's house and my girlfriends house when we went to show the ring off,

I kinda got the same reaction from someone, and my only advice is to take it in stride. Not all people will be as excited as others.

Since she is your BF, perhaps she is a little concerned your relationship will change. Give her some time

No.. My old childhooo BF isn';t allowed to talk to me. LONG STORY!! But whenever he leaves her she calls me. THOSE days of me being the door mat are over.

My other friend. I love her .. and want her and her bf to be in our bridal party but she is being so weird and mean!!!!!

it happens time and time again....it seems it's easier for people to feel sorry or 'be there for you' when things have gone wrong than to be genuinely happy for you when things are going well...

DKGA said it best...I have a 'best friend' from childhood who has no trouble offering advice when I'm feeling down, but can't seem to show interest in my wedding or anything else that is happy in my life. Do you think it's jealousy, even though she is happily married?

I had a friend who I hung out with all the time when I was single and when I became involved with FH, she dropped me like a hot potato!
