as faors, we are giving out round glass ball christmas ornaments with a perosnalized bow that says our names and date on it - we tied the bow to the ball and then glued the ribbon edges to it (wish we had a pic right now! oops!) -we are wrappign them in boxes we bought to fit them and attachign a card with a clear ribbon pin for lung cancer (its part of a card we got for our donation)....thats fine, right??? a friend of mine kinda made it like we were being cheap....

Your friend is wrong - it is NOT cheap to donate money and then give a small token/favor as well to your guests. In fact, it's the most GENEROUS gift a person can give! Besides, I think the ornament sounds lovely!
