I think thats about right for Duet with tax and everything. Also how many hrs do you have the photographer for?

i think it seems a lil too expensive. but if they're work is unbelievable, like something uve never seen before amazing... then i guess its ok.......?

That seems in the right range for photos, albums and video! I'm paying like $3500 for photos w/ no albums!

It seems like a lot to me.

Be careful too when they say they'll give you 70 pictures in an album if you're doing an album that has a lot of pictures on each page (background, small photos, etc.) because it adds up! They may really be giving you 5 pages. I would try to get them to give you a certain number of pages instead of a certain amount of photos. JMO

That sounds great to me! My photog alone was over 5K and that was just with our album no parent albums. I had a separate videographer.

800 or more 4x6 color piistures stored in a box. All images scanned to high resolution DVD's. 2- 11x14's, 3 8x10's. 2 Photographers, 1 assistant. up to 10 hours of service. engagemanet portrait sitting(includes album, brag book, and location) 4x5 Thank you cards(as many as i need)
3-5x7 parent albums (30 images in each)
1-12x8 Digital magggazine album (80 images)

Wedding video: 3 fully edited DVDS. Menus & chapters, raw footage

Thank you ladies for all of the advise. This is the hardest part for me as far as planning this wedding. I have more appointments with other photographers next week, so hopefully I will be able to compare each one and hopefully get to chose a great photographer. Thank you all again :)

It seems about right to me - granted you could shop around and definitely find people for less (and people for more...), but I think this will be a sort of average ballpark for both video and photo.

Yes it definitely seems like you're getting a lot for that price. My only question was whether the photographer put the package together for you in terms of what was included, or did you ask to have all those things included? Just asking because if there's some things in the package you don't care for, you can always ask them to take it out and lower the price
