Does this sound crazy??

Does this sound crazy??

So I am planning my bachelorette party and we are going wine tasting in 2 months and then dinner and having a sleepover. I have a best friend from high school who now lives in Chicago. We lost touch for many years but reconnected recently and it's amazind and I'm so happy. I even visited her in Chicago recently! I really really want her at my bach party. She's in grad school full time so I know money is tight. She let FH stay with her the entire weekend in Chicago even in her own bedroom while she slept on the couch!(we had planned on staying at a hotel) and toured us around...basically saved us a ton of money. I kind of want to return the favor and if money is tight for her to come to the bachelorette party- would it be crazy to offer to pay for a ticket for her to come?? I mean she had already been planning on coming home for my wedding which I'm so excited about. It would mean so much to me and I would love to extend the offer. What do you girls think? Is it too over the top? Or do you think it would be a nice gesture? I kind of want to ask her soon so she can plan accordingly. TIA!!

If you can afford to do it then I think it would be really sweet!

Ok cool...so I'm not crazy lol. I really do want here there...I feel bad that we lost touch for so long but I'm so grateful that we reconnected. I dont think I would do this for many people but we have such a history together.

Aww thanks girls! I am excited now to extend the invitation to her. I mean if she cant come for another reason that's one thing, but if it's a money thing I'm happy to do it for her. I feel she would have been one of my bridesmaids had we not lost touch anyway..so I can look at it like her bridesmaid gift LOL.

I would definitely do it if I could afford it. I have a couple girls from OOT that I'd love at my b-party too. I'll have to see what finances look like when the time rolls around.

It's not crazy AT ALL. I think it would be really nice of you to do. If you think the bridesmaids will have issues (i.e. they'd be uspet you flew her out here when they are paying for your weekend), then don't even mention it to them.
