fh wants to wear a black shirt under his suit/tux but with an ivory collar and ivory cuffs on the shirt and then an ivory tie. No vest or anything. It's really making me nervous for him to wear a black shirt..do you think this sounds ok or should i try to convince him to wear an ivory shirt instead of black? In my head it looks ok..but idk..it's our WEDDING

DH has done this a few times, black suit, black shirt and one time he did it with a black and white polka dot tie, another time with a pink paisley tie. Never with an ivory tie so dont have pictures of that. One time i saw a guy do this but with yellow tie and LOOOVED it.
I think its a great look but as the groom, not too sure. Although one girl on here her Dh did this along with groomsmen, it was black tux, black shirt and black and pink ties and it looked real good. I would say to let him try it on to see how it looks and see if he likes it, he might feel differently once he sees it on him and maybe think its a great look but not as the groom

exactly..FH wears all black with a silver tie or a colord tie like you said but im not a fan of it as a groom...
here, i took the pic of dh doing the black suit/black shirt and black with white polka dots tie pic and spray painted the tie all white in paint just to give an idea. I didnt do the collar though sorry
ETA: if the collar is ivory and the tie is ivory wouldn't that blend together too much
