I had hardly taken off my cap and gown (2006) before they were asking for donations. Let me pay off my loans first!!!
Yesterday I get mail from them with 'suggested' donation amounts depending on the year you graduated
08' - $100 07' - $200 06'' - $300
and so on. Today I get an email for donations for their basketball team.
Leave me alone!!! Don't you know I have a wedding to save up for? Maybe if you gave me a total scholarship I wouldn't be putting $300 towards loans! So many recent college grads haven't even found a job yet! And the ones that have been working just a few years are still establishing their careers.
It's just annoying and constant.
Rant over.

My college is hounding me for $$$. Once people graduate, it's kind of expected to 'give back.'
I'm all about giving back but it's not like I went there for free!

YEAH! They ask my parents too. And I know my parents would donate while I was a student there. Lol they were convinced the school would hold it against ME if they didn't donate.

Omgosh, no they don't call just mail and email. I would get nasty pretty quick if they were spamming my voicemail.

Unfortunately all schools have a nasty habit of doing things like this. I was already getting them when I was still a junior!

You didn't go to St Johns, did you?
I literally got phone calls for money 4 months after graduation. I had barely even started grad school, even! They're ridiculous. I ignore them. You are getting enough of my money, I'm still paying you off.

Oh yes! I get them all the time from the school, then also from the athletic department since I played collegiately. I usually give 20 bucks to school every year, and they don't call once I do that! I also give $50 to the soccer team, cuz I loved it. But those 'suggested' donations are always ridiculous!

St. Joseph's sends me like a little magazine with all of the donations they received what year the donor graduated once a year. Honestly, they would need less donations if they didn't waste their money on such silly things. lol
