does your diamond wiggle?

I noticed this starting Saturday. My diamond seems a little lose.
The jeweler did say the platinum may bend &that's why I have to bring it in for maintence ever 6 months, so the diamond doesn't fall out, but its only been 4 months.

Should I be concerned?

Yes, you should. I would stop wearing it until I could get it looked at. It is not supposed to wiggle.

I agree.. and platinum is NOT supposed to bend!!!! WHite gold maybe but not platinum. When i got my ring they said it is the strongest metal and would hold my diamond much better than white gold!

That happened to me after about a year of wearing it all the time. FH brought it back to the jewler and they made it so tight that supposedly that will never happen again.. unless I play basketball everyday with my ring on.. ( me basketball???) lol

I would have it looked at. I have had mine for 1.5 years and it hasn't moved. I would be scared if it was loose.

YES..you should be concerned. That shouldnt happen...bring it back to the jeweler and fix it!

Agreed. Platinum is not supposed to bend at all, ever. It scratches, but never bend. Don't wear it, and take it to a jeweler, actually...a different jeweler, to look at.

Its only a slight wiggle, but i don't think its in my head.
I think we can go saturday if we don't have to go to LI for wedding stuff- so far we don't.

I would defiantely keep it in a safe place and get it tightened asap. Wouldnt want to lose that!

I know, but its so sad, I've only been engaged for 4 months. . I'm not ready to part with it for even for 2 days.

but its for the best.

but i have s dinner to attend tomorrow
but odn't want to lose it
but its been loose sicensaturday& didn't fall out

ok, will power will power, I'll bring it saturday.
Unless. . .
maybe FH can take it tomorrow at lunch ( he works near where we got it & if they can fix it right there, brign it to me in the city before the dinner.

wiggling can't be a good sign. I would rather be safe than sorry and not wear it until you get it looked at.

Your diamond should absolutely NOT wiggle in your setting- Take it to be fixed and DO NOT wear it -

aw, I know how you feel. I had to give mine up for 3 hours to have it resized the first week I had it and I was miserable!!!!!

definately get it checked out..

if it needs to be fixed you dont have to leave it with them! you can be there while they fix it, if they cant do it right then, then you can make an appointment with the jeweler!

I haven't had my ring for a week because I had a wiggly baguette and not even my center stone! Don't wear it - get it fixed please!

Mine does the same thing. It's a princess cut diamond, and I don't feel it wiggle, but sometimes if I sake it next to my ear, I think I can hear it a little. I've already had it tightened once, I don't know what to do either.
