does your photographer do this?

I am on the hunt for a wedding photographer, and I'm having trouble. There are so many factors that go into this! So, here is my list of things I'm looking for (at least so far) and I would so appreciate it if you guys could tell me if the photographers that you have looked at / booked do these things (and also if they don't do them, so I don't waste time on them) . I have such limited time that FH and I are both available to go meet with people that I don't want to waste it on people who don't fill my criteria. Thanks in advance!

My list:
1. really captures a sense of personality and life in even the most posed of photographs
2. has an artistic eye and catches beautiful, unique shots.
3. when you go to meet with them, you meet an actual photographer and can sense if you click with them, and you have a specific photographer whose name is on the contract assigned to do your wedding (and you are able to specifically see samples of the work of the person who will be at your wedding)
4. stays throughout the whole day rather than arriving just in time for things to start and leaving as soon as the cake is cut.
5. works with what you want and is inobtrusive, rather than bossing you around when taking posed photos or interupting things or getting in the way. (I realize you won't know this until the day of your wedding, this is really more for those who are already married)
6. either gives you the negatives or gives you all of your pictures on a cd (or at least doesn't charge through the nose for reprints)

We took e-pics with him in November... so I think he fits all your requirements... as for staying for the whole wedding, I think his standard package includes 10 hrs but you can add more if needed... we booked him for 12 hrs.

We're using Bob from Velvet Studio. Since the wedding isn't until October I can't comment on his being unobtrusive from personal experience, but from reading reviews, the girls that have used him in the past say he is.

IMHO, he meets all your other criteria. He is on Route 110 in Huntington.

I felt like I got all of those things when I booked Perceptions - I had Anthony Vazquez (the owner), George, and Sarah as my photographers and they were really wonderful.

I agree! I think Imagine has all the qualities you listed!

definitely check out willi wong (the work on his website doesnt do him any justice!) we would've booked him in a heartbeat if he was available for our date.

i would also check out something in blue (www.somethinginblue.com). i know they do have a ten hour package, but i'm not quite sure how flexible they are staying longer than that, unless you pay them more money. but their work is beautiful!

I am using Artistic Images and I have to say that he meets ALL of your requirements. When we met with him for the first time it was liking meeting up with an old friend. I think he is great, very reasonably priced as well.

What you're looking for is exactly the same list we had in our search, and she fits the bill perfectly. She has no time limit, is unobtrusive, will never bark orders at you, and takes candid photojournalistic shots.

Mine is pretty much all the things on the list except for the time thing since they do work on an hourly schedule. You could see pictures in my review to get a sense of their work.

I'm using her too and she is so awesome. I recommend her 110%.

I'm using Lina Jang Photography. She definitely meets all the criteria you are looking for. You meet with her when you set up an appointment and she was so personable. You get all negatives/CD or all photos. Her website is Lina Jang Photography

Photos are extremely important to me. She is definitely on the pricy side, but so worth it. I know she is going to be my favorite vendor. I have not heard one bad thing about her, only raves.

Her pics are amazing! You have to pay extra for the digital proofs, but IMO it is worth it.

Check out Verdi..It's a husband and wife team that are (IMO) everything you've listed. Check out their website...They have a ton of pictures of actual weddings.

I am using Jimmy Yacenda from Fine Art Studios. When I read the different things that you find important it completely matched what I had wanted when I looked for a photographer! The different, personal, photo- journalistic pictures were exactly what I wanted. I wanted something unique and like a work of art, very natural.
I also saw people mention Imagine on here (they were my second favorite--amazing pictures). I ultimately went with Jimmy because he made me feel so comfortable and at ease just at our meeting that I knew his personality on my wedding day would really make the real, natural me (and my FH) come out in our pictures and that was so important to me. He really has a passion for what he does and it was something I felt in my gut with him--so that's why I chose him. When I entered his studio--that did it for me! Because you can really see the amazing work that he does and he has such a nice personality.
My sister is also using him this August. She was recommended to him very highly from co-workers of hers. They specifically said him over everyone else at Fine Art.
There is another LIW bride that used him and her pics were posted on here but I don't know exactly where, try a search for Fine Art and maybe they'll come up. She has dark brown hair--they are BEAUTIFUL!! I saw them on here and I was like omg I'm so excited.

they have all different pics on here from different photgraphers but i know for sure Jimmy did the blond girl (very pretty, tall, thin) who was posing in Oheka. (she has a very large BP, girls are dressed in lilac purple. Just so you know who she is).
