None of the photographers I am looking at do... They will give you full rights to the photos to create your own using a different site or you can pay them additionally to do it for you.
My mom, however, insisted that I am getting ripped off. She then called various studios and found that they all include an album.
I was wondering what is typical? Are most of you girls getting your albums included? And if not, how do you plan to make it?

My photography package did not include a wedding album. I pay an additional 600 dollars for it (flush mount album). I didn't feel I was being ripped off. My album came out beautiful !
When I booked my photography package I paid a very cheap price for it so I didn't mind at all.
If you don't want to pay so much for the album, you can always make it yourself on mypublisher.com or snapfish or shutterfly . I made 2 parents album and it came out so pretty !

I used patken and a wedding album was included in my package... I believe they are included for Duet as well.

the package we purchased does have a wedding album (and actually one for each set of parents) but we do not own the rights to our photos

My photographer's (Photography by Verdi) base price does not include albums, but it does include the CD of all the pictures. After we review the proofs, we then pic out the albums and pay ala carte. Most likely I am going to just get my album from them and then make up my own parent albums. I like it this way. I LOVE my photographers. In all honesty, once I saw their work, and then met them, I'd have paid anything. If you're happy and the prices you're getting are consistent, then do what makes you happy and comfortable.

mine has different packages...we chose one that came w/ the album. i didn't meet with any companies who offered the album in their base package (except 1, whose base package was $6500).

I worked with Duet for my wedding and my pkg included the wedding album. Some photographers might not include it and add extra depending on their pkg, pricing/offers. I think for the money that you're spending, it should definitely include one.

I'm booked w Ariana Studios(Wedding Plaza) and it includes an album for us and 2 parent albums for a total of about $3K.

Ours did not include the album. We got prints of all the proofs and a cd of all the pics. We just finished creating our own photobooks from Shutterfly and they came out great. We got to do exactly what we wanted, include as many pics as we wanted, and even got one for each of our grandparents.

We are using Duet and they can custom make a package for you. They usually include albums but if you would rather not have them and make your own they will give you a better deal. Our pkg has an album and only one parents album b/c FMIL INSISTED she get one. Everyone else will have an album made from a site like shutterfly or such that they can pick what pics they like and have more in the album. They are a whole lot less expensive and come out great. They will work with you on whatever u want. FM me if you want more info.

Mine does not include an album but I can always add that later on. As long as you get your pictures on a cd with rights to print you will be fine. You can always order your album later on

My photog included an album. Not only a wedding album but also an album for the E-Pics as well.
