Does your photographer use Photoshop to enhance your pictures?
I ask because I’ve seen many pictures that seem to be extremely enhanced, or extremely vibrant, are they using photo enhancement programs ?

YES - they all do. If a photographer tells you that he doesn't - they are fibbing..
Most pro photographers use Photoshop CS & amateurs (like me) use Photoshop Digital Elements...there's very little crossover, as the CS software is crazy expensive and the Digital Elements is around $150.00. I've spoken to a few who ask a lot about DE, but none that use it.
I'm trying to be a photographer myself - and once you've used the programs - you can see IMMEDIATELY when someone has used it & they all do.

mine definitely does.
hes actually working on photoshopping our sign in board photo right now...
But all the pics I have in my album from my e-shoot were not changed in any way other than the settings on his camera. Those are the origionals. My photographer doesnt photoshop them until he knows exactly which photos were going to be using.

Right - you pick which you want to use & then they adjust them...they wouldn't waste the time it takes making a picture perfect without knowing you'll use it. Chances are though that the camera they use has editing functions & all noise is removed & things like that. Noise removal is making the picture not look dotty, pixely - making things all nice & smooth...makes you look perfect...

OK, this is what I thought. I dont wanna confuse photograpphy skills with photoshop skills, but some photographers REALLY overdo it with photoshop.

We had seen one who told us that she used it often. As for our photographer, I'm not sure what program he uses to touch up images

Yes - some of them don't learn that there is a difference in OVERUSING and touching up. It's a shame. You should never be able to tell something has been altered - unless you were going for that DRAMATIC look...
The perfect picture is one that you always have to ask yourself - i wonder if that was altered....

yeah most use it.
But some pictures are purposely made to look more exaggerated, in general they will look regular. For example the pic i have for my avatar i have 3 versions of it...a very enhanced one, one that had nothing done to it, and a black and white.

That's not try. There are so many other softwares out there that they can use that is least expensive.

yeah i didn't know at first, i asked a friend to give me a photoshop program, because he is an IT guy and he had it. Well he gave me CS, i was like when i tried using it. Then i read that it takes students at least a year to learn and this is them taking classes for a year.

I know - it's insane - but once you get it - the things you can do are incredible!! I guess one day - i'll get there...but for now - i'm happy with my Digital Elements!

I know i didnt even use it for long, bc the code he gave me expired even the tutorials are annoying. I was able to figure out some things on my own but after alot of frustration lol.
