Why do people insist on bringing non socialized dogs to the dog park?
If my dog approaches your dog, it is because he's friendly and curious. If you have to say 'careful, I don't want him to bite', your dog should NOT be in here in the first place!!!
Why do people bring their dogs and read a book/talk on the phone/pick their butts - so they don't notice when their dogs are picking on other dogs and or pooping?
I kid you not one time a couple dropped off their dog in the dog park while they went for a jog.
The dog was a bully and shi tting everywhere. Umm...this isn't a free doggy care??

Re: Dog Parks - ANNOYING!
Forgot to add, yesterday FH and I took our dogs to the dog park and Goober was being bullied by this poodle non stop. The owner did nothing as she was chatting with her friend so FH finally took it upon himself to do the dog whisperer jab and the dog squeaked and ran off.
FH is a protective daddy lol

It really is ridiculous how clueless some people are!!! That couple leaving their dog while going for a jog really took the cake though.
Fh and I would see it poop and look around to see who's going to clean it and nobody. It'd be running around and picking on dogs and nobody was doing anything!
Finally, this couple comes in all sweaty in running gear, leashes the dog, and leaves.
WOW. You people S U C K!

While I agree with you that the owner's should be watching their dogs (this is the biggest reason dog parks are so HATED by communities), I disagree about the unsocialized dogs. That owner sounds attentive and responsible, giving you a forewarning. Maybe they are trying to socialize their dog better! And what better place to do it than at the dog park? The only thing is they should keep the dog on leash or within calling distance.

ugh I hate that! I'm the person who has a dog that's a menace at a dog park and would never bring her. She's just way too rough.
Once I was at the dog park near my mom with her dog and this guy brings in this big boxer mix. He proceeds to jump all over her biting her in play, but just wayy to rough. So, I go to get her. She's a 40 lb cattle dog mix and he snaps at me!
Oh it was on! I started yelling! Who's the idiot owner of this azzhole dog? He gets offended and starts yelling at me and I say , 'listen buddy I'm 5 mins away from calling the police. Your dog snapped at me.'
he left. Jerk!

No, I agree that owners should socialize their dogs but if the dog is already aggressive, there are better ways such as taking them for walks where they ARE on a leash or bringing them to a doggy class where there is a trainer to handle any situation.
If the dog was on a leash, I wouldn't have as much of a problem. I guess I wasn't clear but these dogs that the owners 'warn' me about AREN'T on a leash and it only takes a split second for the dog to snap at friendly ones that approach curiously.
My puppy was mouthed a few times by dogs that owners were trying to 'socialize' and it's not fair for my dogs to pay for it. One owner says after my dog squealed and screamed that her dog was 'not good with puppies.'

I love how FH is with our dogs, he's going to be a great daddy.
Once we were walking our Pom and a huge rottie off a leash rushed at us. FH picked up our pup SO fast and hugged him to his chest.
The owner was able to call the rottie back right away but it was SO precious how quickly FH reacted.
His words: 'I wasn't going to let him bite the S hit out of my dog!'
