Doing final with reception hall this wk. Is there anything I should ask besides....

linens, cake, setup of the reception tables, food selections and CH, negotiating the add-ons. Thanks.

I would have your banquet manager walk you through everything... Like when the guests arrive, who is there to escort them in? where will the place cards be? things like that.... just so you have a clear picture of what is supposed to happen throughout the night.
Other then that I think you have the important things covered.

you may have covered this already, but go over where the band/dj will go, and what time they can get there to set up & if you are having pictures taken on the grounds, double check the time you can arrive.

I went a few weeks ago, I found it to be fun, a little overwhelming. They will suggest foods if you need suggestions, CB really covers it all. oh, ask if there are any kids ,for booster seats, I forgot about that and called them the other day.They have them they just have to put it in if you need them. I am so excited for you!!! The wedding is right around the corner!!!

Thanks some of the things you ladies noted, I didn't have.
Princess I just got my letter on Saturday. But I had already made my appointment. I am really excited... I can't wait for it to be over. So I can finally be FH's wifey...
The booster seats. Thanks for that one!!

I am doing a step by step timeline of what happens from the time FH and I walk in the building and when we leave. There is so much to think about.... Keep them coming!

u r welcome, I am trying to figure out what else I can think of that we asked. ask for the seating cards- they were waiting for more to come in and then they forgot to mail them out to us, they were willing to mail them to me, but Fh and I are going to go and pick them up. Are u having lemon slices in the water? Ask them to put it in when u go to final, also, they do not have high chairs, I asked that one yesterday, hmm... what day r u going? I am going this week to pick up cards... What kind of cake r u going with? We had a hard time picking one. we went with the stacked basket weave with whipped cream. I will try to remeber more thru the day.. I have been so exhausted also, I cannot wait fo rit to be overwith also, it is amzing how it is zapping all my energy lately, I seem to be forgetting a lot of things midsentence because my mind is on the wedding, more like it is racing... now only if my stupid mail would get here- I seem to babysit the mailbox everyday waiting for the reply cards.

CB was our second choice, really nice place. They gave us some sample dessert, it was awesome. I bet it's going to be a great time for you.

Be sure to get any extras written on the contract. Who are you working with? I think Tom was the one who helped us. He was really nice and very sincere from what we could tell.

If your hall requires confirmation of your vendors' insurance coverage, make sure they have confirmation from all of your vendors. If any are missing, you want to make sure that you get in touch with your vendors so you don't have to worry about that in the days before the wedding.

I have my day of coordinator taking care of the insurance stuff. One less thing for me to worry about...
I am probably going with the basket weave cake as well. I thought I was going crazy... I am constantly thinking of things and writing something else down, forgetting what I just said two minutes ago b/c I have tons of other things running through my mind... We are actually doing seating charts, 2 kinds. For the CH room we are having the list of names. In the reception we will have the actuall tables with the guests names coming out of the oval. Lastly, on the tables I will have a candle with each guests names in front of their place setting. Or maybe on their charger next to the menu? Hmmm I will ask on this one. I saw tables set up the other day and they were so cluttered with glasses. Most of them are never even touched!
