i have been yelled at by many people with differing opinions on a lot of wedding related topics - driving me nuts!

yeah that happens. But you can't ask everyone their opinion on your wedding. Everyone likes to offer advice from friends to family to co workers... it gets crazy!!!
You could possible wait a little while to see how youare doing with your budget and whether or not you can afford it. Or maybe you would rather use the money toward a make over at a make up place and doing it on your own by purchasing the make up.
