I do a lot of things without him. I only bring him to things that he is interested in like the DJ, limo etc. If I have to go and buy something for me or the Bridal party he will not want to come even if I begged him.

Re: doing things without fh
I do alot with him but it depends on what it is. Like for instance, this weekend I wanted to register. I could not picture FH standing there with me registering so I went without him. THEN I went back with him last night so he could have his say in certain things. That was the best decision I ever made. All I heard all day were whiny little bratty girls going on and on about how 'I WANT THIS' and blah blah blah to their FH's and I felt sooo bad for these guys. Soooo many arguments took place in both stores I went to. I was DYING! Im glad I made the decision to bring FH back with me to finalize the list

Don't feel bad. We usually don't shop together. I find things online before I go out and ask his opinion and then I go out by myself and buy it and sometimes I dont ask him at all. Today I went out and bought his wedding band by mysef. I forgot he had to work. I LOVE it and now I get to surprise him with a ring!! I wouldnt feelbad at all. It looks like the majority of us go alone.

Re: doing things without fh
I've done most of the things without him. I find it just gets done quicker that way. He is confident in my decisions & I discuss them with him prior, but with the exception of the church & hall, I've been on my own. He saw the dj with me at a showcase, but I went on my own to book it. So don't feel bad, I think it's a guy thing....doesn't mean they don't care, they just don't think the way we do...some do, but I'm fine with going on my own.

I do things without FH a lot. We don't live together, which may make a difference, but even when we move in together in 4 months I see us doing things apart.
I think it's good to do things without your SO.

Re: doing things without fh
well if its just general things then my answer would be yes and no again. for instance, its gorgeous out today so FH wanted to spend the day with his friends on his motorcyle. he left the house at 12 this afternoon and is stilll out. i am fine with that. i spent the day with a friend shopping

my FH likes to come with....but I try to ditch him when it comes to shopping. Don't feel bad. Some people have to be attached at the hip and others are independent. Obviously your friend sounds clingy and immature. We're adults, we do things by ourselves!

Re: doing things without fh
Sometimes men just arent into wedding stuff. Arggh. I know it annoys me like crazy. It seems like all FH will do is show up to the wedding! But I def. can't blame him since he lives in Washington State. But yes, it's very frustrating to not have him there to make decisions with me. I wish he could.

we do things on our own, though I like to do things with him if he is available. Ususally much more fun that way.

I do not go everywhere with FH! I go where I please. If he wants to come, great, if not, I have fun w/out him too!

Re: doing things without fh
I only bother FH on weekends when we need to speak to our vendors, our officiant, etc.
I do a lot of research online and regularly go shopping w/ Mom. I used to ask my sister (also my MOH) to go places with me, but she's in the middle of school and doesn't have a lot of spare time.
Besides, I change my mind so many times when making a decision, I only like to involve FH when I'm absolutely sure of what I want.

I like to shop by myself when I don't have anything in particular that I want to get. FH Hates when I wander around the store... but if I ask him to go with me, he will, no questions asked

Re: doing things without fh
Eddie and I are best friends and we do alot together, we also work together and live together. But there are many times we do things on our own or with other people. I prefer to do food shopping alone (but sometimes he likes to tag along) and he doesn't always attend church services with my daughter and me.
