Domestic Violence Awareness Event

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Thursday, October 27th Commemoration Day will take place from 5-7pm on the lawn next to the Suffolk County Legislature. The event is to honor the surviors, remember the victims and honor the people working to end violence against women. It's open to the public and provides people with an opportunity to speak out on the issue.
