Don't go to or near the Roosevelt Field Mall this morning!
There was a shooting near the mall, the whole area is in lockdown. My sister works on Ring Road, no one can go in or out of her building and she says there's a swat team in the parking lot.What is this world coming to?

I'm here too.. 585 Stewart Avenue right behind macys.. we're on lock down as well.. our parking lots are all taped off, we can't leave.. all we hear is sirens and helicopters

GARDEN CITY - Police confirm to News 12 that two people were shot this morning in East Garden City.According to police, a 63-year-old Asian male walked into 645 South St. and shot two employees. Police say the male is a former employee of Safe Energy, the company located at the address.
Police say the male, described as 6’0 to 6’3 is wearing either a brown or gray suit jacket. The man was seen fleeing the area toward the Roosevelt Field Mall, possibly driving a Honda Pilot with registration FMA 3648.

Roosevelt Field Mall is on lockdown, however it is not being evacuated. In addition, all Garden City School District schools are on lockout mode. This means no students are allowed out of the building.
Police say they are checking all vehicles around the mall.
The condition of the victims is unknown

How awful! Like what could those employees possibly have done to this man to deserve being shot. If they dont catch this crazy man before you leave work make sure someone walks you to your car!!

They just said on the news that they are starting to let people leave. They have a description of the man. He is a 63 year old Asian man driving a white Honda Pilot and he is 'on the loose and armed'Stay safe everyone
