We decided not to give favors, instead we are making a donation to two charities. For those girls that did the same could you please let me know how you worded the cards on the table.

me too! me too! I was thinking of putting something like 'In lieu of favors, we've made a donation to two charities that are very important to us.' then list the charities.

We are donating too, and I think they are sending us cards, but depending on what they look like/say I was thinking about making my own too. I wanted to add something like (if there is room) 'thank you for helping to make our day special; we're hoping to make someone esle's day special by making a donation to...'

a friend of mine just got married 2 weeks ago and she used them. this was the wording she used...
A donation has been made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of ______.
We are doing donations as well and I think we are saying something along these lines:
We are so happy you are here on our special day, We'd like to honor you in a special way.
In lieu of favors a donation has been made to ____________ (We haven't decided on the charity part yet)

the charity may have wording. we are doing Make a wish... they provided us with wording for scrolls.

I want to do this too....how did you do it? One card at each table? OR one card at each place setting? OR a big card on an easel as they exit?

you know i never thought of doing a big card as you exit. that is a great idea. I was goingto do about 5-7 per table, but now i might do that.

I have a question related to this to.... does the American Cancer Soceity or whatever charity you're donating to give you the cards? or do you have to make your own???

We are donating to the american cancer society, and I have dealt with all of th correspondance via Internet and e-mail. They have been great. The emailed me proofs and I ok'ed them and they will be sending them shortly. We worded them:
In recognition of your love and support, we have made a donation in your honor to the American Cancer Society. **(Emblem/logo)*** In loving memory of those that could not be with us today. Deirdre & Brian February 16, 2007
