Donation favors

Donation favors

I am thinking about what favors we could give and I look at the board and I see alot of ladies are doing donations, I think FH would prefer that, and besides it is a good deed. I just have no idea how it works. Someone please reply abut how it is done, it sounds nice. Thanks

I'm not sure how other organizations work, but the American Cancer Society actually has a wedding scrolls program. The scrolls explain that in lieu of favors, the couple has made a donation (I'm pretty sure they don't specify the amount). There is an office in Hauppague, their # (631) 436-7070. They can explain how it works.
If there is a particular charity that you would like to give to, you could make up your own scrolls, or leave a framed note on the table to tell your guests.

We made up little cards (on business card stock) which explained that we are making a donatin to the American Cancer Society in the memory of our parents. We attached them to little boxes of assorted candies.

We made a donation to the Twin Towers Fund, and made up index cards with a saying that explained what we were doing. We also attached American Flag pins to the cards. People wore the pins through the entire reception.
