Donations as a gift....

Me and my Fh were invited to a second wedding and on the invitation it said that just being there is a gift to the newlyweds. I am the type of person that cannot go empty handed..... so, would it be in good taste to give a donation in the bride and grooms name???? Also, does anyone have any good suggestions for a good place to make a donation to?

Re: Donations as a gift....

Thats a nice idea, I've never seen that on an invite before. Why don't you pick a charity that reflects something in their life (someone close to them passed away from a specific illness - then choose a charity that raises money for that) or something that reflects their interests - rainforest preservation or animal endagerment charities.

Re: Donations as a gift....

I think it's a really nice idea and would try to come up with a charity that is important to the couple.
