I think i'm pretty good with everything else except the church. One person said that on the day of the wedding they church asked for 400 donation. Another said something like 2000. That's a BIG Difference!!!
Any thoughts? I think i'm getting married at Blessed Sacrament in Valley Stream.

my church has a $500 fee. call up the church and ask...places like st patricks in manhattan i have heard have outrageous fees

Every church is different... I would just call and ask. We paid $400 when we booked our date, and then extra for the organist and/or singer.

i think mine w/ donation plus music is going to be around $600... 2k is a little much!

Your church should be able to tell you. Get it in writing....I know, I know it's a church but you do not want surprises like this on your wedding day!
My church is $600, including the organist...we're not using one but will leave as is.
every church is different...you have to call and find out when you book. We are getting married at Holy Name of Mary in VS and its $425

Our church is $400 + $250 music/organist fee. Even though we have hired a classical guitarist and flutist and won't be needing the church's music, we still have to pay the organist fee.... Oh well!
