Does anyone know what’s currently up with Donovan’s in Bayside, off of Bell Blvd? I know it was sold and it may be being renovated, but I don’t know if that’s still going on or when it may end. I would love to have my e-party there!

I used to work with the owners son's (they were bartenders at two restaurants i waitressed at) I thought that place was a gold mine?

All i herd was that it was sold. last time i passed by there were people there so i guess it's still open.

I think it still is (It was always crowded when I went) but the owner retired so he sold the one in Bayside. The one in Woodside isn’t being sold, I think.

The place is currently closed. It was apparently sold to someone who runs a restaurant on long island (which is supposedly really good....dont know the name). I was told it would be more 'upscale' now.

i heard from one of the bartenders at monhans that it is being renovated... i liked it the way it was!! i miss my bartendar Chris.. made the best drinks &....bought back !

For childhood girlish reasons, I REALLY wanted to have my e-party in the Unicorn room in the back there. I'm pretty sure they'll be getting rid of it with the renovating :(

Donovan's will still be called Donovan's, and should be open some time in September after extensive renovations. The new owner is the owner of Louie's of Port Washington.
Hopefully some of the old character will remain, the bar will be a decent size, and Chris and Gary will come back to bartend.
