But I convinced FH to go take dance lessons tonight. tonight is a group lesson to see if we like it. And we're learning Salsa and Swing!
Question - I planned on wearing leggings, sneakers, and a t-shirt... think thats ok? i keep having nightmares that everyone will be dressed like dirty dancing...

Congrats.... The only thing I suggest wearing heels.. I wore sneakers the first night also and I ended up kicking them off and just wearing my socks bc you cant move the way you move w heels-- the sneakers kept getting stuck. lol it was annoying! And other people in the class have heels on also(they actually have these 'special' dance shoes lol but I wont go that far getting those!

Ha yes def not getting the special dance shoes. I wearing Keds, not running sneakers or anything b/c they are less clunky. I will bring shoes with me just in case! Do you think they will get ruined? I have a pair that are super comfy but kind of expensive and i dont want them trashed after this.

I've gone to a few ballroom dance schools and they all ask that you don't wear sneakers. The rubber bottoms usually limit your movement. I'd wear a ballet flat, heel, or dance shoe.

That's fine to wear. I might suggest wearing heels if that's what you are going to be dancing in though. And Salsa is FUNNN! I loved doing it!
