Don't forget those who are less fortunate .........

Just had to share this girls............

I was cooking dinner for my FI as I was watching news. There was a story about an elderly man who went to a doctors appointment and came home to find his home was burnt to a crisp. He lived in a trailer.

Apparently he had a wood burning stove to keep him warm and that is what started the fire.

I was so sad for him. You can tell from the interview he was less fortunate. I almost cried. He did not have home insurance becuase he couldn't afford it. It really got to me..........

So I just got back from Walmart and purchased $150 worth of bedding, sheets, toiletry items for him.....also some winter stuff to keep him warm like clothing and what not. He's staying at a shelter for now, but I know he'll need these items when he does find a new place to stay.

I just fell so much better ...... I am still VERY sad for him, but atleast I did what I could to help out.

Today was the first day during our wedding planning where I did not complain about the funds I did or did not have for our wedding. This little old man that I have never met in my life was what was important to me.

So just remember not only during the holidays.....but everyday, there are always people who are less fortunate than you and IF you are able to do anything .... big or small, it really truly does help.

Wow a sad story. It true tho, sometimes we get so caught up into what we need, what we want, and we forget about those who need much more than us. That was very sweet of you to purchase those items for him it makes me soo happy to know that there are great people out there like urself.

You have such a big heart we need more people like you !! I felt good the other day i went to kb and there were 2 soldiers standing by the door and there was a SUV in front of them and a sign saying please donate a toy and help fill the van and although im in a tight spot w/ money and i have 2 kids i felt so happy to donate it touches you
