ok my dad side the family is all italian, and were all close, so my guest list for his side of the family is 140 ppl. this isnt even including my moms family, thank god its small, then fh has a big family, and are rh place holds 200, and they misquoted me saying 250 ppl. were not all going to fit, and there wont be no room for close friends either. i dont know what to do or who to cut.

How many people are you looking to have in total? Can you maybe create an A and B list ...
I would also have a conversation with your hall...they should find some way to accomodate you since it is their error.

If you can't fit, and you absolutely can't cut your guest list, then you get your deposit back and have it at a different place.
If you can't fit, and you absolutely can't have it anywhere else, then you cut your guest list.
You just have to decide which is more important to you: having 250 people, or having it at the place you've been planning.

BTW, was the misquote written in the contract or just verbal?

I would try to get your deposit back and maybe talk to your dad and see if everyone has to be on the 'A' List

Totally agree.
And if you can't do that, the only way to cut is to start excluding dates for single people, not invite distant friends and relatives, etc.

I agree with the other girls. That is not a tiny little mistake they made, they were off the room capacity by 50 people. I would definitely give your bm hell for lying to you.

i would get your deposit back and go somewhere that can accomodate all of your guests. you want them to be comfortable too.
