Don't know what to do about make up now

So i didn't realize when I booked my make up that when she asked how many people would be getting it that it mattered. I didn't know at the time so I gave her a guestimate. Now I just called to tell her how many it would be and schedule another trial for the rehearsal dinner, since there aren't 4 people getting their make up done the price has now gone from: Bride being 200 to 300 and the additional my sister 150 instead of 100. If I can come up with 2 more girls it will go back to the price. The rest of my party is getting their make up done on their own! 300 is a lot, I feel...and 150 is def. a lot for non air brush. Part of me wants to look somewhere else but I don't want to deal with the headache of looking around!!! Any thoughts or opinions??

I think its alot too. Its kind of unfair. You have time, maybe you should look around a little. I think it depends on how much you absolutely loved how she did your makeup.

It was a vendor through my hair woman I know a few girls on here are using her, she is was excellent and 200 was a lot but i figured for the day of it would be worth it. But now 300 I'm like wow that is a lot of money! I might call around but I will lose the deposit I left with her...

i have no idea what im doing for make up yet - i have two trials set up.....the first trial im really excited for but the wedding day make up will be REALLY expensive if i book - so last night we went over it and it will cost us $1,300 out of pocket for make up AND hair - but thats because the vendors i am using are expensive - im having my 3 girls and MIL throw up $100 each for their hair & make up - i wanted to cover the cost for them but at this point its getting really expensive and i can't afford to pay for everyone in full - so them paying $100 for everything isn't too bad and it saves me $400....that is worst case scenario for me the other trial i have is with someone less expensive - but to be honest im booking who i like better and im not going to factor in the price - i rather be happy with it - i HATED my eparty make up (not on the day because i was having so much fun) but when i look back at pictures i wish i would have just done it myself - so after that experience i dont care what it costs

if you love the way this person does your make up keep them - if you are iffy then it doesnt hurt to look around

I think I am going to have the same problem. I am waiting for Kacey to call me back. 1 of my bridemaids backed out because her and my brother are no longer together after 5 years, so I said okay what am I going to do about it. She has the dress ordered and everything.
I only have 1 bridesmaid get both hair and makeup and myself. another bridesmaid is getting just makeup. Both mothers are getting makeup as well. I am really not sure what to do at this point in time. I sent her an email yesterday and I am just waiting to see her response.

i hear ya...but you know what...as amazing as this woman may be...$300 is more than ridiculous. you're a beautiful woman...you don't need $300 worth of her 'magic' to make you pretty on your day. if you were an ugly girl maybe i'd say 'hey to be beautiful on your wedding day...$300 is a bargain...' but its not like she's working magic on you. a beautiful girl like you does not need to spend $300 on getting done up.

Is make-up really important to you? If yes, suck it up and do it.

I think she does gorgeous make-up...

As far as BMs go though - that is a lot for them...... I'm no help there... I wish I had a function that day - I'd pretend to be a BM for you.

wow I think $300 is also a lot! Im sure she does a great job- but so do a lot of other people. My person only did me, her trials were free, and shecame to the hotel and I spent $175. If she ahd done my BMs also, I think they would have been $75-$100 I dont remember... But if interested, let me know. Her name is Laura and she is from the Bobbi brown counter at Bloomingdales in Rooselvelt Field. I highly recommend her!!!!

Haha wouldn't that be great. Yeah see I feel bad now making my sister pay 150 instead of 100 when i know she has a friend that will do her make up. I did love Ann she is wonderful...i thought about paying the extra 50.00 for my sis but now i have to pay the extra 100 for me! If my sister doesn't get her make up done, I am sure my price will go up and it will be 400!

hey-im using anne as you know-to be able to make it more cost effective, i am paying for my girls hair and makeup as their gift.

I would love to do that but I already bought them a bunch of stuff, plus i have 8 girls and not 800.00 lol! I wish!

That is alot. I'm paying $300 for hair and make up. Before you start looking, did you sign a contract or give her a deposit? What is her cancellation policy?

I know and my hair is a lot too....i did leave a deposit I think I left 50. I have to read her contract i have it in the car I will look at lunch. I might just have to beg my mother to get her make up done there and one of my bridesmaids!
