Dont know where to start with planning the reception part...Help

Ok so my wedding is 3 months away on May 5th of 2007 and i am going crazy not knowing where to start when it comes to planning the reception i have my colors and ideas all ready its just i dont know where to begin....HELP ME PLEASE!!! i could really use some of you helpful hints and ideas on where to start.

Hi date twin!

Did you book a caterer or is that included in your package?

Did you reserve the church or officiant yet?

I think music would be next on the list (DJ/band).

Did you order your gown?

do you have any vendors booked?
ie- limos, florist, photographer/videographer, entertainment, officiant, honeymoon, bridal gown, bridesmaids dresses, rings...

The Vendors are all people i know thank god, a friend of mine does pictures and i love them, a friend is a DJ and i work part time at a florist so that all worked out..

no i really dont want a Video because i could do that myself by setting it up on my stand..so im not really sure about it yet.

what i need help on is how to go about finishing up on the reception part as far as the decorations and centerpieces go ya know..Making it my dream wedding

officiant
limos
honeymoon
invites
calligrapher
have you done your precana?
hair person
makeup person
placecards
book hotel for night of/night before (if you want)
favors
cake topper
day of jewelry
tiara/headpiece/hair clips
dress
toasting flutes
shoes
programs
menus
table cards
guestbook/wishbowl (or whatever you're doing)
figure out your songs (first song, father/daughter, etc)
table cameras...

thats all i could think of for now!

Ok so for the church u will have to figure out what color flowers you want from teh florist, is the isle runner is provided by limo? are you making programs? and the readings & songs must all be picked. You wil have to speak to your priest to find out what you need as far as marriage license goes...

For RH- pick out your menu, will u have menus printed to put on the table?
centerpieces?-colors? type of flowers? low or high?
placecards & table numbers?
is the cake provided?
color of linens, how napkins will be folded?

for your dj- choose all your songs- 1st dance, father/bride, mom/groom, garter toss? cake cutting? etc...

sorry this is all jumbled together this is how i think

You're off to a good start.

I would quickly get a move on invites if you don't have those yet. Because you are in early May you should start sending out invites in late February.

Do you need limos?

Have you spoken to the people that you work with at the florist? Maybe they have some ideas for you as far as decorations and centerpieces.

I am going with all white centerpieces. I feel it matches the decor of the room better.

Decide on colors that you like and go from there.

ok thanks i will my mother has her own printing business so i am able to have her do the invites to but i have not decided if i want to do all Red (my Color) or if i want to do a touch of red.

i am doing Roses for my flower and i know what i want in centerpieces its just knowing where to get the stuff.
