lets sayy you have a minimum of 150 people for the wedding... and only 100 come... but u still have to pay for those other 50.....can you take that food home??? i mean *** thats hundress of $$ GONE. I'd want alllllllllll the food left over. why should they make out like bandits? I mean, they are anyway but still...
I dont know if that has ever ben requested..

i'm not exactly sure if you can take it home
i know from reading on the 08 boards, some girls have said they have the option of taking food from the ch home or having it donated to a local food shelter
but i totally understand, why should they eat like kings for free on your dollar

yea i heard that they give it to a shelter..which i think its total bs. i dnot think they give it to a shelter. i'd wanan do that myself..
although ihave tried donating food to a shelter and wheni contacted them... they asked me what kind of canned goods and how many..like they were snotty about it...
and when my dad died we had like 200 + flower arrangements.. and i wanted to take them to nursing homes / hospitals and give them tot he patients who hardley have visitors.. but the funeral director (pos ahole ) was like 'omg nooooooo! hats morbid , u cant do that!!'. i was piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiised... to later find out, he sells it BACK tot he FLORIST NEXT DOOR.

yea he was a total douche. as soon as the wake was over he wa standing by the doorway with the calculator(with the receipt roll attached) as if we were guna ditch the bill or something... i wanted to strangle him

My friends SIL didnt make her minimum for her wedding and no they didnt pack up the food. They also didnt ask for anything like a chocolate fountain. They ended up paying for 25 people that werent there.

That's messed up! And on top of all the money we pay them apparently the bride and groom are included in the minimum

I know at our hall they make the food based on the people there, if you are under numbers they may throw something in to make up the difference, but by law they said they could not give the left over entrees to anyone at the wedding. they donate it to a food shelter.

this is something that FH would totally ask , lol. We were able to take all the left over food home from our engagement dinner but that was just at a restaurant. Im really not sure, ask your hall about this, or you can always try and invite more people that wouldnt have been on your a-list, if you dont come near your minimum.

my friends got married at the floral terrace in october and they gave them food. im not sure if it was leftovers or if it was just a one of each entree. they also got served everything that was on the menu the day of, so they had like 4 or 5 entrees for the 2 of them

it would be really funny if you asked them to vacuum seal it too so you can take it with you on your honeymoon..
in all seriousness though -- ive never heard of them packing up the extra plates til you meet your minimum but i have heard of RH throwing in extras the day of to compensate for not making your minimum and still having to pay for it. my sis had a mini viennese hour and the RH boxed up EVERYTHING that was left over... pies, cookies, pastries.. my sis and bil didnt get to enjoy it bc they left for their hm the next day but i did!!
