don't like corsages -- but what for the mothers?

I don't like corsages, so we're not going to do that for the two mothers. A florist suggested a mini bouquet for each. My sister gave the mothers and sisters each a long-stemmed rose.

I'm not yet persuaded by those ideas, but wanted to do something on the wedding day.

What have other brides who nixed corsages done? I guess it doesn't have to be flowers, but what?

I think the mini-bo-k idea would be nice.

I think the mini bo-k is cute. My mom and FMIL both said they didn't want anything (but we are both walking down the aisle with both of our parents, so everyone will know who they are), my grandma and FHs grandma are wearing corsages.

My mom and FMIL are getting the mini bouquet and grandma is wearing a wrist corsage (she doesn't know this yet..but she's getting the 'throw-away' bouquet later in the night).

The mini ones are cute but my mom wont have the patience to carry that all around, she will prob be holding other things, I think I will be doing a pinned corsage??????

Personally, we're not doing anything for the mothers in terms of flowers. We *might* do the rose ceremony, but I'm not sure. They do NOT want corsages or small bouquets -- just be sure to check with them before you decide to get them a small bouquet. My mom and FMIL really did not want them.

We wanted something alternitive to a corsage, and I didn't like the idea of a bouquet for the mothers (and neither did they), so we went with a bracelet of flowers

Here is what we did...
picture #4 from the top if what my mother and MIL wore.

My FMIL will wear a wrist corsage. She walks with a cane, so holding a mini bo-k or tussy mussy is out of the question. A pinned corsage willy pull at the dress and probably get crushed with all the hugging.
