Don't you just love it when 24 hours after your engaged.....everyone you know wants to know when the date/place will be. It's like there is immediate stress linked to a proposal ha ha. Anyway....how is everyone else doing with catering halls and photographers???

Lol I know exactly what you're talking about. My family was the same way. As of now I have a few places in mind for the catering halls, none about photography places and stuff like that yet :)

yeah..why is that??? No one even gives you a chance to take it all in. I got engaged on a Saturday and when I went to work on Monday everyone thought I had it all planned already!!Then you tell them you decided on '08 and they say..ooohhh you have plenty of time.

When I told my cousins they jumped all over me about whos gonna be the maid of honor. Then they went gun ho about the dresses and their weight ... and when I told them the date they said oh ok nm then and went back to eating and drinking there cake and coffee

People are shocked when I tell them we're waiting two years...but I want everything to be ....well ....perfect. We are paying for our own wedding, so we need the extra time.

I know how you feel....But I get the same response after I tell people our date...They say, 'why are you waiting so long'....I say because I want it to be the perfect wedding for the princess that I am!!!

I understand where you girls are coming from. I got engaged last July (almost a year ago) and I'm getting married June 1, 2007 - the year has FLOWN! I promise. Just ignore everyone - its your wedding and you'll appreciate the time you have to make everything perfect :)

Amen!! We ARE princesses and deserve the perfect day! I'm glad to hear we are all getting the same stuff from our friends and family. We are paying for it ourselves too and things are just so expensive!
