With everyone visiting their dresses, am I to understand that even if your dress is early (WAAAAAY early in some cases) to arrive, that the salon allows you to come in and try it on just for fun?

Most salons will suggest you 'try-on' once it arrives just to make sure you are happy with it. Then they hold it for you until you are ready for the actual fittings.

I ordered my dress a MONTH ago and I called yesterday to find out the status of when it would be in, thinking maybeeeeee after Christmas. The woman on the phone said that it will be in about TWO weeks from now!!!!!!!!!!
I'm getting married NEXT JULY. OMG! I can't wait to try on MY dress! They're letting me come in just for fun to see it!

They'll allow you to try on the sample of the dress you've ordered even if your actual dress isn't in just yet. The'll also allow you to take pictures since you've already ordered it.

Yes, I was told to come try mine on because their were special measurements that we did when we ordered it! Plus they told me I could come try it on as much as I wanted!

Absolutely! God forbid they ordered the wrong dress or something is wrong with it and you don't check it out until 2 months before your wedding.
That is what I did last night. I checked it out, tried it on, & now it is in storage until May.
Better to be safe than sorry. As well, it is better for it to come in way early than be waiting 6 weeks before your wedding.
