Ok guys, how many of you who will be taking your FH's name in one form or another (with or without hyphenation) have written out your future full names. How many permutations did you configure.
I have done it and I plan on taking his name with my maiden name as a second middle name. I cannot tell you how many different configurations (with and without the two middle names) I came up with!

I can't figure out for signature purposes if I'm going to use my full first name, or just the first initial. Now, I just use my first initial and last name (because my last name is a bit longer). Don't know what I'll do. Plus, now I have a 'T' to cross and an 'I' to dot - -- he's got non of them, so I kind of feel like I'm not done writing, even though I am.
ETA - I've been practicing since before we were engaged! Luckily, my initials will remain the same since we're both 'F''s.

I haven't yet...I don't want to jinx anything...But I am so glad to lose my 10 letter last name that is constantly mispronounced and mispelled..now I will be a getting a nice Irish name

Oddly enough, I haven't tried writing out my new name. I feel like I might jinx everything if I do!! It must be the crazy superstitious Italian in me...
Thats how I feel....I should have read all of the responses before responding BUT I am glad that I am not the only one who feels this way

Oh, there is no way that I am going to hyphenate my name. My last name is Barbieri and his is Lancieri. That would be like torture!!!!

I print my new name all the time, but when I use my soon to be new signature, I can't do it. I'm going to need lots of practice.

I don't particularly love FH's last name (more so because it connects me to his dad, and thats where my problem lies..) It has the same amount of letters as mine does now, but it just doesn't sound like it flows nicely... We'll see.. I know he would be hurt if I didn't take his name, and I'm not particularly upset about giving mine up.. but....it is MY name We'll see what happens...
