Edit: I just called and found out we can do a tasting even though our RH doesn't do it there. WOOWHO!

my reception hall uses them also, but the reception hall said that they don't do a cake tasting.
i was nervous b/c i've never even heard of that bakery.

No prob! I had the same concern - but they were really accomodating. Just call them closer to when you're going to be doing your final menu w/ your RH - they said you can try upto 4 fillings I think.
I just searched the bakery on here and everyone gives them awesome reviews.

Just got my Mom's B-Day cake there yesterady and spoke to them about tastings.. they said just call up and they will do an appointment!! YUMMM They are soooo good!!

Our hall uses Bonne Bougalerie which is the same owner as Dortoni's. We went and discussed what we wanted but we didn't think to ask for a tasting!!!

You should definitely go for a tasting! Just call up the actual bakery I totally just made AJ's day telling him we can do a tasting lol

FH and I tried both dortonis and la bonne but since they are the same owners, we didn't get much of a difference in taste so went with la bonne because they are minutes away from our hall.
we went with vanilla and wildberries in chantilly and chocolate with peanut butter mouse\se

The tasting at Dortoni's is amazing- try everything you can! We got yellow cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate cannoli- soooo good!

Dortonis is the BEST bakery! My friends and I use them for EVERYTHING!! Did you ask about the designs though? My RH gave me like 6 designs that are included but I dont like any of them. Do you know if there is a charge for something different?

Nope - didn't ask about that. We mainly want to make sure to we get the tastes down since we have to go choose a design next week w/ our RH. I'll see what they say when we meet w/ them.
