Re: double items?

but........... if you regester at BBB you get cash back on items bought off your registry that you return ( as long as the person bying them tells the cashier its on the registry) so i was thinking of keeping a few things on as doubles so i can return one and get the cash bak lol i know its horrible!

Re: double items?

no way..not horrible..but smart..use that money that you get for returning the double items to buy what you didnt get...

yup! BBB's return policy is wonderful!

Re: double items?

I work there .....You only get cash back if it IS MARKED AS BOUGHT ON THE REGISTRY!! Meaning whoever buys it has to tell the cashier its on the registry and has to give the registry to the cashier so they can enter the number and take it off. If you return something that wasnt marked as bought you can get store credit or exchange.

About a year ago we had a woman return $5500 in vera wang china. Got it all back in cash!
crazy!

Re: double items?

I love that BBB policy

but as for registering for doubles - i would still try not to bc that means at the shower - the second person who bought the item is going to get upset.

I know i would be upset if i spent time picking something out and then someone else got it too - thats the whole point of a registry!

THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! I went to a baby shower and before she opened my gift she opened someone elses and they bought the same carseat i bought, i was like great same gift and they opened theirs first lol...BUT then the girl told me she actually registered for 2 of them, since they have two cars they will leave one in each...they registered for alot of doubles, one to leave at grandparents house and one at their house so you dont have to carry a million things each time...BUT i remember how i felt when someone bought the same thing i bought them.

And like tilde said before, you will get doubles regardless...some people forget to tell the cashier its off the registry, so when someone goes later on to buy something, they still see it on the registry and get it.
