Has anyone considered having a double string quartet for their wedding ceremony? I was considering it just to have that fuller rich sound.

Re: Double String Quartet?
I haven't considered it..but I'm wondering if it would be worth it...will the extra strings add a different sound to the music? Will the music you want them to play have enough parts for each string to play differently? If you just have the same instruments doubled playing the same notes..it may just make it louder..not really fuller..
Does that even make sense?

I definitely don't want the music to sound louder but fuller. I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make. I'm hoping anyone else has heard of it and can give me any info.

Re: Double String Quartet?
Im using the Vintage String Quartet, they are a vendor on here, they played at TWOTY
If it was up to me i would have a full orchestra and horn section, but its not neccessary. I love classical music, I honestly think a string quartet is perfect, you get the 1st violinist, who plays the melody, the 2nd violonist who plays the harmony, the Viola, and the Cello for that bass sound.
My ceremony is outdoors and i think it will be fine

Yeah. I'm beginning to think I'm better off with just a string quartet. My ceremony will be in a church and I think because of spacing that I'm better off with just a string quartet.
