I think I am the only South Asian Bride here..but oh well. It's getting really stressful whenever I think about my wedding. Everything has to be done 2-3 times since we have so may parts to our weddings. Everyone is telling me how lucky I am that I get to dress up so many times and party it up really big. But I feel so stressed thinking about getting hair, makeup, wedding dresses, centerpieces, decorations, and dj's for 3 different events.
My dates are... Friday April 6th Saturday April 7th Sunday April 8th.
Not to mention a probability of a Mehendi/Henna ceremony on Thursday April 5th (I'm trying not do do the ceremony because I can't afford to have all the females get their Henna done. I might just go to the Indian Bridal Salon and have them to do it there...ohhh so confused

you are very lucky but i can understand your stress level. Planning three different ceremonies is very stressful I have a lot of friends had three different weddings and a Henna ceremony the night before the first wedding and they hated the stress but they loved when it was all over.

Hey! I found another south asian bride on this!!! how exciting! :) I created a forum for Indian brides (I think last month) but no one replied to it so I figured there weren't many of us! I thought the forum would help when it comes to looking for vendors.
My wedding is on May 22 (just a few months away!!!!)
I have also been frantic and stressed out about planning it as we do need a lot (mandap, dj, photo/video, mehndi, makeup/hair/sari draper... etc etc etc)
I'm pretty much done with choosing my vendors so if you need help in anything feel free to ask!
Where are you doing your wedding/reception?

Hey~! I'm a west indian bride...doing the whole 3 day wedding also. At least you've booked your hall. So far I've only seen one, Coral House. I'm going to see Leonards and Jericho Terrace tomorrow. I also have 4 more appointments for the weekend. Picking the hall I think is the most stressful part~! Once I get that out the way I will feel sooo much better. Any advice? these are the halls,
