Doubting your decisions

Doubting your decisions

Has anyone made you doubt any of your decisions? This is happening to me with my venue. I picked it because of the charm and the style. Someone is pressuring me to change it and pointed out all of the imperfections and is making me feel really bad about where I am getting married.

i love my venue but as far as the vision i have it would fit better at a different location...Again not taking away from the place itself.

Well the thing about my place, is that it's owned and maintained by Suffolk County. I am bringing my caterer into the space. It's a 200 year old historic mansion. There are imperfections like paint cracking. The point is, the place is historic and that cannot be changed. I don't care at all and love the place for it's charm, location, set up and theme.

if you picked a 200 year old historic mansion for that look then don't doubt it. Like you said, its part of its charm. Don't doubt it bc of others...its your vision and your wedding and it will be beautiful.

making them happy won't make you happy just remember that. If she approves of a place doesn't mean it will make things better. I kinda did the same, oh our families dont want the city and blah blah blah, or the food is so different at these places...So im going the big traditional waY lol...I mean i can still add my touches to it but it wouldnt be exactly the same

actually come to think about it my fmil had a few choice words about the location of our venue..because its out east..she was going on about how annoying it would be for the OOT guests...but to be honest i never cared about her opinion as my parents are the one paying for it! and most of our OOT guests are his family!!!!!!

Thanks girls. You made me feel much better. My mother loves to complain and point out imperfections.
