Has anyone made you doubt any of your decisions? This is happening to me with my venue. I picked it because of the charm and the style. Someone is pressuring me to change it and pointed out all of the imperfections and is making me feel really bad about where I am getting married.

I am very picky too and I wanted something that wasn't traditional at all. My mother has similiar taste but she scrutinizes everything.

LOL trust me go with your gut...i also wanted something non-traditional but didn't end up doing that...well it also came down to other things...alot of places that i liked wouldn't fit the amount of guests i have and it would end up costing alot more bc its empty space that you have to put work into.

Re: Doubting your decisions
I've stopped including anyone but FH in wedding planning. Trust me it's so much easier this way! I just do what I gotta do and send everyone an invite. People ask what I'm doing and make comments but I don't care because when everything is put together it will be beautiful. Your hall does have historic charm that you wouldn't get anywhere else so enjoy!

Re: Doubting your decisions
if you're doubting yourself that much, go back there see it set up for a wedding. make sure it's what you REALLY want. if you're constantly thinking about this your wedding planning isn't going to the wonderful experience that it should be. you're gonna drive yourself nuts!

Just my photographer. I don't mind the company just who I got for some reason NO ONE has ever had which makes me a bit unhappy.

The fact of the matter is no one else can see your vision. You can explain it all you like but it will always be in your head until you make it come to life. Don't doubt yourself - it's your day and it will be beautiful.

Re: Doubting your decisions
i have been doubting our venue too. but overall it's the place FH and i chose b/c it's beautiful and we love it.
not everyone is going to love every place. what matters is whether you love it. and obviously you do b/c you booked it.
be happy...i'm sure your day there will be amazing.

Re: Doubting your decisions
I doubt three of my vendors daily. One I will probably change.
I think the other two are just normal 'what if' doubts I'm having...

Coindre Hall is GORGEOUS.
It's definitely not a wedding-mill and will be beautiful and unique in every way!

Re: Doubting your decisions
Honestly it is your wedding so if you like it , go for it I say.
I only doubt it when it comes down to the cost of whatever it is.

i agree, go with your gut.
i know it's upsetting because it's your mom saying these things but you're a big girl, it's your wedding, and your vision. you're going to put together an amazing wedding!

Re: Doubting your decisions
If you love your location then stay there. This person shouldnt be pointing out the flaws to you. You picked it for a reason. I dont think its right what he/she is doing...

Re: Doubting your decisions
People have said the same thing aboutmy venue, but I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I loved the fact that it was different than everywhere else that I looked and to me the imperfections make it PERFECT for us. GO with what your heart tells you. As long as you love your venue who cares what everyone else thinks....it is your day!

Re: Doubting your decisions
I doubt my dress all the time I love it, but I am always looking at other dresses. If it were up to me, I would have 5 outfit changes throughout the wedding with different dresses

Re: Doubting your decisions
your venue is beautiful. dont doubt your decision.
Also, keep in mind that no matter what someone will say something about something and everyone has their own personal taste. My mom almost had a heart attack because I wasnt having a church wedding (the ceremony is at a lighthouse) But in the end- Its YOUR day and you picked it because YOU liked it.
