this morning. He was pretty funny. They talked about the two ladies (mother/daughter) team from Long Island that made dates for the first night of the show and did not do all their homeowrk. He is going to be at a design expo in Jersey this weekend.
I used to think he was such a jerk, but he actually comes in the bar that I work pretty often and he is so nice. I was shocked one day when I walked in for my shift and he actually knew my name.
Lisa - I agree. I remember that show too and thinking the same thing about how they were making LI Women appear. Besides, you are doing this for your neighbor as well, wouldn't it be nice to seem interested and give it your all.
He was hysterical when they were commenting on how if you say DON'T TOUCH MY CEILING FAN, the designers of course take them right down. Then he said Laurie is building a new house in Mississippi and guess what she has in EVERY room in that house? CEILING FANS!! Then he goes, where do you think she gets them from, ha ha ha ha! I think he plays it up in front of these homeowners for effect and isn't that bad....
Last week on my way to work on the 6 train, I looked up and Doug was standing right there. He is a very good looking man in person. I smiled to let him know that I recognzed him and he smiled and nodded. He cracks me up on the show.
I think it's funny when he does something utterly outrageous and Paige asks him about it and just shrugs and replies 'You know what you can get into if you come on the show'
I would have asked him what is up with his obsession with the color brown!!

The train was pretty crowded (morning rush hour) and although I really wanted to talk to him, I didn;t want to make a scene. He also got out at the next stop so we wouldn't have had much time anyway. There is enough craziness on t he 6. lol I am addicted to the show so it was very cool and I really would have loved to plead with him to come and decorate my apartment - they really need to do a show on Manahttan apartments. Give us some tips on how to utilize tight space.
