Is anyone going to pre-cana this weekend in Douglaston? Has anyone ever gone to that one? Do they let you leave early? FH is NOT looking foward to this lol.

if you are talking about the immaculate conception center or whatever its called in douglaston- we did it in september and they let us come in late & leave early- we really got a lot out of it- & believe me my fh was not that excited about it before we went either- but after, he said he really liked it

Hey there!! We went to the pre cana there back in November, and FH and I actually had a good time it wasnt as miserable as we thought it was going to be. On Friday night they have a mass and you write a love letter to each other, and on Saturday you both get a workbook and answer the questions and then compare your answers. We got out of there at around 230ish 300 on Saturday? And the people who ran the precana were so nice. Good luck its not as bad as you think i PROMISE!!

well sort of, but not let you leave early whenever YOU want. They try to finish early and if they do they'll let everyone out early but you HAVE to stay until the end or you wont get your certificate bc they give it out after they are done with everything.
On friday we got out of there in about an hour so we got out a little early...On saturday instead of 9-5, we did 9-4. Plus you get an hour lunch break. So an hour early they let us out
its really not bad at all, i enjoyed it...The couple is so great and even fh walked out saying he was surprised how much he liked it

Don't go into it thinking it will stink...it's actually a lot of fun and FH thought so too....enjoy it!

LOL - My FH is not looking forward to it either! I just told him how much it meant to me to get married in a church and that if he ruined it I would beat him up - He'll deal!!! LOL Good Luck!!
