About Dove Releases

You might want to look into this very carefully. There are many people who believe that Dove releases hurt the animals. The animals are not homing pigeons. They very often get 'lost' and end up dying. I know that some girls have posted about worries about the birds 'going' also. I know it looks beautiful in the photos but... Danfords should be able to help you with an ice sculpture for your reception.

About Dove Releases

I am having doves at my wedding. Actually what is known as white doves that are released at weddings are not actual doves. They are trained pigeons. They are trained to return home after the event. I am having a dove release but there is a certain distance the birds can go and I know that where you are is too far for the person I am using. There was someone that had a dove release at coral house. Probably the birds she used will be nearer and available for your location. Do a search and you will find the information on this board

About Dove Releases

I am a Veterinary Technician ( Animal Healh Specialist ) of 5 years now. The last thing I would want is for an animal to 'die' for my own selfish wants. However with releasing , I highly doubt that is the case. NYC , and NYS are very concerned with aninal cruelty , and I am sure if that was the case Dove releasing would not be legal. This is speaking from experience.. So please let me know if you knwo of a company / vendor who will do such a service.

Crazycat420

I hope you did not take my post as offensive in anyway. I have just been reading a number of articles about people who do not use reputable companies or try to release birds themselves to save money. That is why birds are dying. So I guess I should have added, make sure you have a reputable company for the safety of the animals. Here is a link to the Association of Professional Dove-Releases. it might help you. http://www.white-dove-releases.com/
