DOWN COMFORTERS... LOVE EM or HATE EM

I LLLOOOVEEEE my down comforter and I HATE IT with a passion.

Its warm and snuggly and comfy...

But
-IT constantly gets frumpy and lumpy and the feathers shift in lumps and you get one gushy spot and one empty spot.
I purposely got one that has all those 'boxes' stitched in, thinking the down wouldnt shift around so much!

and the duvet cover.
Isnt there something sold out there, that you can clip it somehow so the comforter doesnt go swimming in there and totally lose shape??

I don't like them, they are too lumpy and too hot for me

anna...when I had my down comforter...I would safety pin the corners from the inside to the duvet cover to keep it from falling to one side. Not the perfect solution...but that used to drive me crazy!

I just got my first one ever this year and I loooove it! I dont have a problem with teh feathers shifting (although its fairly new so I may rue saying that) but the comforter itself does shift which is a real pain. But that was true when i had a regular comforter in there so its not much different now.

I love my duvet/comforter - I can't live without it!

I hate when I travel and have to use regular comforters .

As for the shifting, Bed Bath and Beyond sells clips that helps keep it in place.

The feathers shift on all of them- every other day I have DH shake the thing to redistribute the feathers...

I LOVE mine! So incredibly warm and soft!

My only complaint is that the duvet slips from the comforter - so I have to shake it each day, but it's not so bad....

I've had one since I was a kid...so I LOVE LOVE LOVE it...

I never had issues with the feathers...and my mom used to sew in ribbons to hold it into place...

but now (since mommy isn't around) I bought the clips at BBB and they are GREAT!!! (shhh...better than moms ribbons) I have not had a problem for the 4 months since I have had them!!

Erica what's the name of those clips again? I shoudl really pick them up....I remember you posting about these a while ago and I wanted to get them then!
