Down my Ring Bearers and probably a flower girl
So now my brother doesnt want to bring his son to the wedding which I completely understand (He is only 3 so the chances of him actaully walking down the aisle are slim to none and my brother and SIL want to enjoy themselves). My FHs nephew (our other RB) also does not want to walk down the aisle. And, my Flower Girl refuses to wear or even try on her dress!!! She says she doesnt want to be a princess. Too funny, so if she goes down the aisle it will likely be in sweats and a tee shirt. Which to be honest at this point I dont even care - I just really, really, really wanted someone to hold a 'here comes the bride' sign. Can I bribe these kids? What do I do?Any children for hire??? lol.

lol yea it is really hit or miss with the young ones. I was originally thinking of having my really young FG & RB pulled down in a wagon but I've nixed that idea. I totally get the idea of the parents wanting to enjoy themselves and thats why my 2 nieces will be picked up after the ceremony. My 2 RBs on the other hand are from NJ and they are 2 and 5, so I dont know how they are gonna be throughout the whole wedding. Thinking of maybe cutting the RBs all together since I want their parents to have a good time too.

If you have an jr. bm or jr. gm, maybe you could have them walk the sign down?

Who's watching your brother's son? Maybe they can bring him to the ceremony only. Maybe if he walks your FH nephew will then change his mind.

I think the idea is cute but it really isn't worth the stress. FH and I have plenty of little ones on either side of our family who we are very fond of, but I want the parents to be able to come and let loose and have some fun instead of worrying where the kids are and what not.

1 of our flower girls will only be 10 months so we got a wagon from toys r us and we're putting fabric all over it and putting her in that. There's a seat belt so someone will wheel her down.

My niece will be six months old, and I have been looking for something like this! Can you show me a pic or a link to the wagon? Thanks.

our FGs and RBs are probably not going in our party bus due to the limo story a few years back where a child was hurt bc no car seats/ etc?which means a BM (mother) will be driving them
they better be on time for pix :) (better safe than sorry!)
and i think the BMs are going in on a babysitter (3 families) to take them after the ceremony or maybe after cocktail

We lost our 2 RB's (FH's nephews), FH's brother being or even coming to our wedding and his wife (FH's SIL) for something terrible that she did and ruined it for all of them! We refuse to talk to her- so it's all a BIG mess. So MAD, bc I do have a 'Here comes the Bride' banner but my 2 FG's will already have baskets to carry- so I totally understand.

I was thinking about asking FH's friends to have their daughter be the flower girl at our wedding, but decided against it. My cousin had 4 kids in her wedding under 10 and all they did was complain the whole time. I tried my best (as MOH) to keep them entertained and away from the bride but they were whining about it being too hot when we were outside, and then too cold when we were inside!

OMG - too funny. I wonder if people really 'rent' kids for their wedding.
