So my little brother got engaged a few months back. This came as a shock to my family because he was saying that things 'weren't great' between the two of them. THEN, he left for the Army boot camp and came back and proposed (He is an unarmed soldier who plays in the Army band for the president). So anyway....he calls me tonight and tells me that he and his fiance broke things off. He said that he hasn't been happy with her for a while so they decided to go their separate ways. She WAS in the bridal party, but not anymore. Oh well, I have to respect him for his decision and support him. Better that he follow his heart (and gut) now then in 10 years after they are married.

It's so funny because my brother kept apologizing for the wedding and her not being in it now. I was like 'please, that should be the least of your worries'. I just wanted to make sure he was okay! We can figure out all the other stuff later.

Awww!! Poor thing...he must be so upset even if he knew they weren't right for eachother it's tough to take that step. You have your life planned out one minute and the next everything is opposite. Best of luck to him!!

this is my fear about my brother and his GF...not that I think they are going to break up (I hope not) but she is in my BP...they have been together for about 7 years..I said they weren't allowed to break up until after the wedding

I'm not going to replace her. Before they broke up I had 2 more girls then guys, so now I am just going to have one more girl than guys.
