Down Payment

How much did you have to put down for your DJ & Photographer?

DJ i beleive was just 100 bucks then payments were made 2 more times i think and the f inal the day of...phot i am not sure mine was a family friend.

WELL each vendor is different. But for my dj the deposit was 1/3 of the payment. For photographer it was about $900 i think

DJ was $500 and Photo was $600

i put down $250 for the DJ and $1000 for photographer ($500 of this included video deposit)

It really depends on the vendor

my dj took $200 and my photographer took 1/4 of the total

my photographer didnt take CC's but you can pay with cash or check. I mailed a check to her. For DJ i used my debit card

I didnt use CC's for anything, i paid either cash, or use my debit card but its the same thing bc the cash was automatically taken out of my bank account.

I purposely made sure not to use CC's

Our band wanted cash, but our photog let us pay with a cc.

My DJ deposit was $200.

My photographer/videographer deposit (they are with the same company) was I think $1000 or $1500. It was significant, but I didn't mind because we negotiated so much that I got a great deal.

down payment for dj is $75. the rest ($500) is due by the wedding

and Photo was $500, the rest ($2100) is due 2 weeks after the wedding

I put 1,000 down for the photographer by credit card. He ended up giving up 10% off too if we agreed to pay the rest in cash which we did since our photographer is costing almost $7,000!

We haven't hired a dj yet. We are working on it. No luck and not sure whether we want to use the house vendor dj from our hall.
