Down payments...

What are the usual down payments for RH, florist, DJ and photographer/videographer?

I have not even started looking for anything. But I managed to buy all the favors, placecards, invitations, etc. I think I am working backwards..

i don't think there's anything wrong with working backwards, its however you feel like doing them

these are the down payments that i did:
RH: $1000
Florist: $500
DJ: $250
Photo/Video: $1000

There's nothing at all wrong with going backwards!

RH: $1000.00 ( but additional installments were due almost immediately)

Photo/Video $1000.00

Thats it for us so far.

RH- 5000

DJ- 500

Photographer- 500

RH: 500, then 1000 soon after

Photo/video: 20% or around 1000

Harpist: 300 (1/2 deposit)

Cantor: 300

RH was $1000 and we dont have any more payments due until feb 2009

our photographer was 1/3 deposit so it was $1025....1/3 due 1 month before and the rest after the wedding

RH was 1,500
DJ i think was 250
Photographer was 500
florist was 250

wow i thought i was the only one working in reverse! i also have stationary for my std, invites, programs, and escort cards (it's unopened though so I don't have worry about yellowing. and my style is pretty stable so i'm not worried about liking something else later down the line).

For deposit, FH and I had to put down 15% of the bill so it was 3,500. RH is the only thing we've officially booked so far.
