We're not getting married in a church and we are not having a traditional ceremony. We're having a Saturday night formal affair.W
ith that said, I didn't want a traditional program. So I designed something to be a single sheet of paper that will be rolled into a scroll and tied with a bow.
Here's my draft...what do you think? Thanks!
PS Thanks to JimmysBride for the idea from her menu layouts and help with fonts, etc.
thats really pretty- did you have a template to work off of or did you do it all yourself! i would love to do something like that!

Re: Draft Ceremony Program -- Opinions?
Oh Yay! I'm glad you guys like it. I'd be happy to email anyone a copy as a guide.
I did it in Microsoft Word using mostly fonts that can be downloaded for free. The only font I paid for was one because it matches what was used in my invitations -- but it could easily be substituted for something of your liking.
I found the most difficult part just playing with spacing, but if you have patience and an eye for detail its not hard to do, just tedious.
I did layout our names, the saying and the side date in Photoshop, but that wasn't that hard to do either, and I'd be happy to help anyone do that if you don't have the program.
For those of you that FMed me, I'll FM you next week with more details. And if you FM me your actual email address, I'll email you a copy of it.

Re: Draft Ceremony Program -- Opinions?
I really like it a lot, the only thing I think, and this is just my opinion sorry- I would cut the date going down the side, it just makes it look a little to busy for my taste and takes away from the elegance of the rest. The rest of it looks fabulous.
Sorry.

It is so stunning but I actually agree with Swags -- I think the date on the side detracts from its elegance. Gorgeous!

I like the date. I think it acts as a border & sort of grounds the text.

It's really very professional. Do you do this for a living? I am impressed.
I am interested to know-can you do a monogram in word/photoshop? I am a lil' computer retarded, but I would love to make our own monogram to print out on all our stuff.

Re: Draft Ceremony Program -- Opinions?
Hi guys! Thanks for all the opinions! I was on the fence about the date, but like tourist said, I think it grounds the inside text. When I had it layed out at the top, it kind of got lost with everything else. And at the bottom it was more like an afterthought.
To answer BunnyMonkey's question, No, I don't do this for a living. I wish I had the skill for that. I am very creative and I work in PR and Web Development so I work closely with Graphic Artists. I know enough to dabble in graphic arts, and I know desktop publishing very well, and I'm pretty good with text layout. But that's where the talent ends. I can't create images, etc.
Like I said above, if you want the Word Layout and my Photoshop files, I'll be happy to email them to anyone along with the free fonts I used.
If you don't have photoshop, and would like a name monogram that looks like that, I'd be happy to create one for anyone. I typically have a lot of time at work and can play with stuff like that. Of course I can't make any promises that you'll love it, but I'm willing to try and help anyone who wants/needs it.
Just FM me your names and your email address so I can get the files to you.
